- Adequate infrastructure in a spacious, clean, and green campus spread over 32.28 acres.

All faculty members show keen interest in research and are actively submitting research proposals to various agencies, with a good number of patents. To maintain departmental quality at all levels, a double HOD system is followed, which is a unique feature.
- The institute has sports facilities such as gym, playground, and courts for various indoor and outdoor games, with ramp facilities in all buildings.
- NSS and YRC are active, and students actively participate in social activities such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camps, and various awareness programs.

- The institute has sufficient hostel facilities for boys and girls with separate playgrounds, and a double menu system is followed.

- Computing facilities are reasonably good. Separate computer laboratories and departmental laboratories are maintained.
- All statutory and non-statutory committees such as Anti-Ragging Committee, Women Empowerment Committee, Grievance Redressal Cell, SC/ST Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Research Committee, Internal Complaints Committee, Library Committee, Sports Committee, and Alumni Association are functional.
- A good number of patents have been applied for, and projects have been submitted to various agencies.

Salient Features of VSB Engineering College
- Secured the 3rd rank in the Academic Ranking of Anna University among the 550 Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu state in April & Dec 2016.
- Secured Five Gold Medals & 253 University Ranks in the result published by Anna University, Chennai.
- Times of India pointed out that V.S.B College of Engineering, Technical Campus, Coimbatore is the only college in and around Coimbatore that has a pass percentage of more than 85% in the semester exams.
